Final project #5

For my final project for my 3D construction class, we had to do an upholstered piece for a character in a film or a celebrity! i choose the film AVATAR!  So this chair is for Neytiri!

DOLL

So for one of our classes we had to make a doll that somehow represented our personality. I decided to make a current self portrait of myself, which turned out great!!!! she has wool socks, a long flowers print dress, leggins and a long cardigan. Also a little knitted scarf. Her hair is made out of raw fleece that i spun.

FELTED flowers

This is a new product, that Anna Haines and i made for NBCCD's craft sale. 
They are WEARABLE ART flowers! 
 you were them around your neck and they are kinda like Fibre jewelry! They are all different colors and different length, the public LOVED them and we got alot of good feedback, 
which motivated me to take this product to the the next level, keep checking for updates (:

Craft sale

This weekend was NBCCD's annual Christmas craft sale.

Jewelry, ceramic and textile students had each a small booth with all of their production lines. My production line consisted of: Boiled wool scarfs, Christmas cards, hand spun Christmas ornaments and i also had a line of wearable art flowers that me and my good friend Anna Haines made as a group product. The craft sale was a huge success, it was so much fun and it made me realize that this is what i was meant to be doing.   

Back to school

Well I'm back in freddy for my 4th week.. things are already VERY overwhelming but in a good way! i have so many project on the go, it's crazy! haha.. projects are a lot bigger this year but WAYY COOLER! i'm happy to be back with my fibre girls and also very happy to be all moved in my new apartment!!!!!! things are GREAT! i will be posted pictures of my ongoing project very soon, i promise :)

SUMMER JOB IS OVER! and it's a bitter-sweet feeling, I LOVE MY JOB, but i needed a break!!! so now i have a week to do whatever i want, spinning, reading, weaving, blogging and simply enjoying the last bit of ma vacations! also, i'm getting back to freddy in a week, were starting school on the 3th, I am soooo excited to see everyone again!!! i missed my artsy girls. so my schedule is (myth and magic, spinning, sewing, entrepreneurship, painting, and a 3D construction class) anywayz i am off for a cozy supper with my girl-friends so talk to you guys soon, chow xoxo

fibre week-end

This week-end me and my friend Emily went to freddy for a relaxing week-end to see our friend Anna!!! we had some wine, we went to one of our teachers weeding, had a blast!!!! spun some fleece, drank coffee, went to the market!! all of it was wonderful! Being with these girls gets me soo motivated and gets me excited for September.

So like i said on my last post, i started my summer job this week!!!!! DAY CAMP WITH THE KIDS!!! So This year we are tying something new and colorful!!! They all get a white t-shirt and they get to put rubber-bands anywhere they like and then put dyes of there choice to make a beautiful shibored t-shirts!!!! how cool are those huh? I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! and who knew we they all had some textiles talent in all of those little souls (:

Friday perfection

This week was a GREAT week, i started working which is wonderful! have i ever told you guys what i do for work?? maybe not.. hah! My summer job is working with kids, (kids summer camp) playing games, doing craft, sports all sorts of fun things, and i am the one who organizes there weekly schedule! it's fantastic, i absolutely LOVE my job!!!!! Anywayz, so tonight i need to enjoy my last week-end before the craziness start. haha! so i am sipping on red wine with my mother, enjoying the nice weather and spinning some yarn. Also This week-end 3 of my friends are graduating from colege, so we will be celabrating all week-end!!! so proud of them (:

Fleurs d'été ...

This week i finally stared working FINALLY!! Which is GREAT! but just my luck the weather is fantastic back here, the sun is out! it would be the greatest day to enjoy the beach!! but on the bright side my flowers are as pretty as they could be today!! they look so happy that the sun has finally arrived! they are not the only ones (: let's hope this nice weather keeps on coming.. happy Wednesday!

Warpping

Summer berries; 
Yesterday my artsy girls came over with their spinning wheels and spun some fleece while i was making my warp! I think we can all agree how much we love these pretty berry colors, i cannot wait to see my loom all dressed up!!!! keep checking, for updates (:

Spring beauty

one of my top favorite things about spring ... even if it's a rainy day outside these flowers ALWAYS make everything better

so today was a not so productive day. Me, My mom and My Best-friend drank coffee and tea and enjoyed the rain all day while knitting and chatting. Who said rainy days are boring? HAPPY SUNDAY.

PRINTS

LAST WEEK

School is coming to an end, it's kinda a bitter sweet feeling. i love school BUT i kinda miss home. So today were working on our whole cloth final project which involves Screen printing!!!!  i dicided to make headbands, with some printed suns and flowers. they are ALL hand dyed and hand printed, i think you guys are gonna LOVE them :), keep checking for the end result!
